Women Intercultural Network

WIN in UN

Since 1998 WIN has been a Non-governmental Organization with Special Consultative Status to the UN ECOSOC (Economic and Social Council), a significant policy making body of the UN. With that status WIN can accredit official Delegates to UN meetings. We submit oral and written statements and Impact UN outcomes.

Women’s Intercultural Network has attended each session of United Nation Commission on Status of Women 62-67, bringing 80 delegates. WIN sent
representatives to the CEDAW Committee meeting, Geneva, November 2018, presenting Cities for CEDAW report. WIN delegates attended UN Economic Council in Europe and Generation Equality Forum, Geneva, 28-29 October 2019. WIN has participated in Secretary General’s Town Hall, 11 March 2021, and UN Women Town Hall on Cities for CEDAW.
